| Disclaimer: Changing
your security settings can potentially expose your computer to viruses,
and other malicious software. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure
that your computer is secure after the DVR live viewing software has been
installed. You will only have to disable these security settings the
1st time you log in.
You must be logged in to your computer with a user id that has administrator access You must use Internet Explorer to connect to the DVR. The software will not install or work with Firefox, Safari, or any other brower. Disable or Turn Off UAC (User Account Control) To Turn off UAC (Instructions taken from Microsoft's web page http://windowshelp.microsoft.com)
Reboot your machine Once the PC has been rebooted, temporarily disable any 3rd party firewall software. Norton Internet Security is a common program that comes with new computers. This software needs to be disabled to install the DVR software The DVR software needs to install an ActiveX Control, make sure you allow the installation of the ActiveX Control. Once you are able to log in to the DVR software, enable Norton Internet Security (if you disabled it) and enable or turn on UAC by following the same steps as above.
